    Blue Relay is a Botswana-registered company providing WhatsApp automation and chatbot development services to businesses.

    We are committed to protecting personal information and ensuring that all data is processed lawfully, transparently, and securely in accordance with the Botswana Data Protection Act and other applicable data protection regulations.
     

    Our Role in Data Processing


    We provide WhatsApp Business automation and chatbot management services to businesses.

    In most engagements:

    • Our clients act as the Data Controller, determining the purpose and means of processing personal data.

    • Blue Relay acts as the Data Processor, processing personal data strictly on behalf of and according to the documented instructions of the Data Controller.

    We do not own, control, or independently exploit client customer data




     Information We Collect


    A. Business Client Information

    We may collect:

    • Business name

    • Contact person name

    • Email address

    • Telephone number

    • Billing and contractual information

    This information is used for account management, service delivery, and communication.

    B. End-User Data

    Through WhatsApp automation systems, we may process:

    • WhatsApp phone numbers

    • Message content

    • Appointment or booking details

    • Customer support interactions

    • Service inquiries

    This data is processed solely for the purpose of providing chatbot and automated communication services to our clients.

    Blue Relay does not use end-user data for independent marketing, profiling, or resale purposes.




    Legal Basis for Processing


    Personal data is processed on one or more of the following legal bases:

    • Customer consent to communicate via WhatsApp

    • Performance of a contract with our business clients

    • Legitimate business interests in providing secure communication systems

    End-user consent is obtained by our clients prior to initiating communication through WhatsApp automation systems.

    Blue Relay processes personal data strictly for:

    Requests should be directed to the relevant Data Controller (the client business). Blue Relay will assist clients in responding to such requests where required.



    Client Responsibilities


    Our business clients are responsible for:

    • Obtaining lawful consent from their customers

    • Providing transparent communication about WhatsApp messaging

    • Complying with applicable data protection registration requirements

    Blue Relay processes data solely under client instruction.
